LIVING ON STRENGTH.......................

I have been doing photography for some time now but pretty much only as a hobby. I have always loved photography, I feel that I am capturing moments with each push of the button. In high school I was on the journalism staff and was in charge of most of the photography. I loved having the camera in my hands and was often known as the girl who would lay on the ground at the football game to get that awesome shot, the players watched over me and I often would get picked up by my feet by one of the players so that I would not get trampled. As the coach would shake his head I would grin saying that “I got my shot (I never did get trampled but came close many times.) In college I also had the opportunity to take some photography classes a few years ago and had the opportunity to work in a dark room and I created some awesome portraits of my children that I captured and developed myself. I also spent a summer taking the pictures of my daughters softball team and loved every minute of it.

My strength and what drives me everyday is my children. On Valentines Day in 2008 I gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy. My son was born with Spina Bifida and our world has changed. When he was born THANKFULLY he was moving his feet and legs. He has alot of the issues that are common with Spina Bifida and has had many surgeries since birth. He is SOOO STRONG and TOUGH and he just smiles at his Daddy and me when he wakes up after surgery letting us know that he is OK. We thank God above for him and for every toe that wiggles. He has been such a wonderful addition to our lives and we all see things much differently now. With everything and him needing more of my time our family has had to make the decision of me becoming more of a stay-at-home mom. Then my best friend is the one who really lit the flame of me doing photography as more of a business rather than a hobby. After much research and deliberation I found that this could really work for me, doing what I love to do. I have come to believe that as time passes by, one of the most important services I can provide is to capture precious moments of a family’s life. I am so excited about this new journey in my life.
